Congratulations to Our 2026 Ogle County SWCD Scholarship Recipients!

The Ogle County Soil and Water Conservation District is proud to announce our 2026 scholarship recipients, Levi Eden and Hunter Miller! Each recipient was awarded a $2,000 scholarship to support their education and future careers in agriculture and natural resource conservation.

Levi Eden – Oregon, IL
Levi is attending the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, where he is pursuing a degree in Wildlife Ecology and Management with a minor in Soil Science. Levi’s interest in conservation grew from his experiences outdoors and his interest in wetlands, prairies, wildlife, soil, and water resources. He hopes to pursue a career working with wildlife while helping manage and restore the ecosystems they depend on.

Hunter Miller – Forreston, IL
Hunter is attending Highland Community College and pursuing Agriculture/Crop Science. A longtime member and leader in FFA and 4-H, Hunter has developed a strong interest in agriculture and conservation. His career goal is to become an agronomist, helping farmers improve soil health, control erosion, protect water quality, and implement conservation practices that benefit future generations.

Both Levi and Hunter demonstrate the importance of investing in the next generation of agriculture and natural resource professionals. We are excited to see where their education and commitment to conservation take them!

Congratulations, Levi and Hunter!
